Abstract

Material and methods. A retrospective trial included 39 patients aged 18 — 60 years with extensive traumatic skin detachment.

Results. N objectively justified, differentiated approach to the treatment of critically ill patients with traumatic skin detachment has been developed.

Conclusion. The failures of traditional Krasovitov skin grafting are caused by severe clinical state of the victims and destruction of the underlying muscle tissue. Stepwise skin autoplasty with a full-thickness skin autograft improves treatment outcomes.
