Abstract

Objective. To analyze an effectiveness and safety of cryolipolysis with CoolSculpting device combined with other hardware procedures (monopolar radio wave lifting, ultrasound lifting with imaging mode or bipolar radio wave lifting with infrared radiation) in submental area. Material and methods. The study involved 35 patients with excessive submental fat deposits. Patients received from 1 to 3 courses of cryolipolysis with CoolSculpting device depending on adipose tissue volume. Some patients underwent other hardware procedures in a month after cryolipolysis (monopolar radio wave lifting, ultrasound lifting with imaging mode or bipolar radio wave lifting with infrared radiation). Photographs before the procedure and 1, 2 and 3 months later were used for assessment. Patient’s satisfaction was also assessed by using of a 6-point scale. Ultrasound imaging of submental area was used to objectify the outcomes. Results and conclusion. High efficiency and safety of combined application of CoolSculpting technology in submental area were confirmed. Cryolipolysis with a CoolSculpting device combined with monopolar radio wave lifting or ultrasound lifting results the best outcomes regarding decrease of submental fat deposits, improving skin quality, and patients’ satisfaction.
