Botulinum therapy is the most relevant method of modern aesthetic medicine. The review article is devoted to the development and improvement of botulinum toxin preparations, including a new medicinal form — an injectable solution ready for use. The creation of new drugs of botulinum toxin meets the current tasks of clinical botulinotherapy: simplifying the work with the drug, creating fast and long-acting forms, minimizing the development of immunoresistance. The Russian Federation has developed and registered two drugs botulinum toxin a — relatox (lyophilized form) and miotox (injection solution).
