Abstract

Restoration of bone structures for various pathological processes is the most actual problem of modern cranial and maxillofacial surgery. Various autografts including free cortical, cortical and spongiform grafts, as well as pedicled donor materials are widely used in these procedures. This article is devoted to analysis of morphological and histological features of replaced bone grafts depending on their function, as well as physiological processes of bone grafting.
