Abstract

Objective. To modernize virtual planning and surgical intervention for simultaneous complete rehabilitation of patients with benign neoplasms or defects of the jaws. Material and methods. There were 4 patients aged 17—41 years with benign tumors (myxoma, ameloblastoma) and defects (total, unilateral) of the lower jaw for the period from August 2018 to 2019. Comprehensive modified approach with complete maxillofacial rehabilitation was used in all cases. This approach consisted of simultaneous resection of the neoplasm of the upper or lower jaws, translocation of pedicled fibular flap, modeling of the bone part with simultaneous implantation of dental implants, installation of prosthetic design, fixation of the complex composite flap within the recipient area with introduction of prosthetic design into the bite. Long-term follow-up was 1 year 2 months. Results and conclusion. A comprehensive technique including surgical intervention and complete maxillofacial rehabilitation has been shown to be effective in patients with benign neoplasms or defects of the jaws. Complete recovery was observed in all patients. Normal bite and restoration of masticatory function was obtained in all cases too.
