Abstract

Objective — to improve the outcomes of buttock contouring surgery especially in patients with combination of ptosis and volume deficiency. Material and methods. The author approbated the method proposed by S. Sozer for buttock lifting with a simultaneous gluteal augmentation by local dermal autologous flap. There were 6 patients aged 28—46 years. The author has improved shaping of the flap for possible filling of supratrochanteric recesses. Patients were followed-up for the period from 1 month to 2 years. Results. There were no serious complications. Seroma was detected in one case that required puncture. Patients’ satisfaction with surgical result usually exceeded their expectations. Conclusion. Autologous augmentation gluteoplasty with local inverted skin-fat flap is a universal method allowing correction of buttock ptosis and volume deficit.
