Abstract

A stromal vascular fraction is a heterogeneous cell population prepared from adipose tissue and characterized by significant regenerative potential. Its constituents provide immunomodulatory, anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory effects, stimulate cell growth and differentiation, as well as angiogenesis at the site of damage. This review is devoted to the mechanisms of action, possibilities and results of local application of stromal vascular fraction. The prospects of stromal vascular fraction use for the treatment of diseases accompanied by inflammation and local soft tissue damage are shown.
